Valdez Ski Report – November 29, 2015/1700
Excellent skiing on Thompson Pass with deep powder and good stability. Toured up Moonlight with a local group under partly cloudy skies to sunny skies and temps in the upper 20’s. Here’s a short report from Moonlight Basin West.
I can tell you it is sick when you wake to sun and you currently have the deepest snowpack in the world in Thompson Pass. Thankfully a road runs through it. It was all deep, stable powder skiing today and as good as it gets.
So we took a little free-heeler guy with us.
What the heck? Moose in the high Chugach.
Just a bit further and he makes it.
Stem-teles work!
Heel-locker likes it too!
First turns of a great season ahead.
