Valdez Ski Report – January 11, 2015

Toured  to the top of North Odessey Gulley yesterday with Taylor and Greg.  While the avalanche hazard remains LOW, ski condition are POOR with a rain crust over a few inches of soft snow, mixed with hard, winded surfaces across all aspects and elevations to perhaps 4000′.

Rain mixed with snow will continue in the higher elevations of Thompson Pass through midweek with accumulations of 3-6″ or more above 3000′.  Valdez will continue to see rain as the temps remain above freezing in the long term. (3-6 days)
